Google Cloud Digital Leader
Cloud Digital Leader is Google Cloud's foundational, business-facing certification. It covers digital transformation, data and AI, infrastructure and application modernisation, trust and security, and cloud operations — framed around what a technology decision unlocks for a business rather than how to configure it. No engineering background is assumed.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this a technical exam?
- No. It tests whether you can match a business problem to the right category of Google Cloud capability. There is no configuration, no code, and no console work — but you do need to know what each major product is for.
- What score do I need?
- Google does not publish a passing score for this exam, and does not return a numeric result — you receive a pass or fail. Treat practice-exam percentages as a study signal, not a threshold.
- How does it compare to AWS Cloud Practitioner?
- They occupy the same rung and are similar in difficulty. Digital Leader leans further into business framing and strategy; Cloud Practitioner spends more of its weight on billing mechanics and service specifics.
- How long is it valid?
- Three years, after which you recertify by taking the exam again. Google refreshes the exam guide as the product line changes, so check the current guide when you renew.
